India and Saudi Arabia are likely to execute no less than six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Tuesday during Prime Minister Narender Modi’s trip to Jeddah, with discussions continuing late Monday to add a few more agreements as per the source.

“Well placed sources” interfacing with PTI have disclosed that during his dialogue with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohamad Bin Salman Al Saud, Modi is expected to delve into the haj topics focusing on the allocation for Indian pilgrims.
Visit Objectives and Goals

Both sides are expected to sign agreements on space exploration, energy, health, scientific and technological research, advanced culture, and other technologies.
Discussions concerning the Riyadh Visit were ongoing as late as Monday with over a dozen MoUs under consideration, some of which are expected to be signed at the official level, said an official to PTI.

The source also mentioned that considerable efforts were being made to complete substantial additional agreements regarding trade, investment, and defense prior to Modi’s scheduled arrival.
Modi will depart on Tuesday afternoon upon the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, making him the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the city of Jeddah in 40 years.

Jeddah is of utmost importance historically for India and Saudi Arabia due to its long standing role as a harbor of commerce between both countries, Khan had said in an interview with PTI during the Prime Minister’s visit.
